Cabaret Brut – Cava

Grape Variety

  • Macabeo
  • Parellada
  • Xarel·lo

These are the three traditional grape varieties of Cava, bringing freshness, elegance and structure to the final blend.

Description

Cabaret Brut is a traditional-method Cava produced in Spain's prestigious Cava region. Crafted by Castell d'Or and aged for more than 14 months on its lees, it combines the freshness expected from a young sparkling wine with the complexity developed through bottle ageing. The result is a refined and approachable sparkling wine with fine bubbles, vibrant fruit and subtle pastry notes, making it an excellent alternative to Champagne for everyday celebrations.

Tasting Notes

Appearance
Pale lemon-gold in colour with elegant, persistent bubbles.

Nose
Delicate aromas of honeysuckle, white flowers, nectarine and orchard fruits, complemented by subtle brioche notes.

Palate
Fresh and lively with flavours of peach, ripe apple and citrus. Notes of brioche and toasted hazelnut add depth and complexity, while a gentle mineral character brings balance and elegance.

Finish
Clean, refreshing and well-balanced with lingering fruit and subtle pastry notes.

Olivier's Thoughts

If you're looking for a sparkling wine that punches well above its price point, Cabaret Brut is a fantastic choice. What I particularly enjoy is the balance between freshness and complexity. You get the crisp fruit and lively bubbles people expect from a good Cava, but also those lovely brioche and pastry notes that come from extended ageing. It's the sort of bottle that works equally well for a celebration, a summer gathering, or simply when you fancy opening something sparkling without reaching for Champagne. Excellent value and incredibly versatile.
