Description
Produced by the Rochet family at Château La Rose Sarron in Saint-Pierre-de-Mons, in the heart of the Graves appellation, this wine is a classic expression of Left Bank Bordeaux. The estate benefits from the diverse gravel, clay and siliceous soils that have made Graves one of Bordeaux's most historic wine regions. Today, the vineyard is managed under High Environmental Value (HVE) certification, with a focus on producing elegant, terroir-driven wines.
The 2019 vintage delivered excellent ripeness and concentration across Bordeaux, resulting in a wine that combines generous fruit with the freshness and structure characteristic of Graves.

Olivier's Thoughts
This is a wine that perfectly captures what I enjoy about Graves. It sits somewhere between the generosity of Right Bank Bordeaux and the structure of the Left Bank, offering the best of both worlds. The 2019 vintage has given the wine beautiful ripeness and accessibility, making it enjoyable today while still retaining enough character to reward a little patience.
What I particularly like is the balance between the ripe dark fruit and the subtle Graves signature of spice and elegance. It is a versatile Bordeaux that works wonderfully with food and offers exceptional value compared with some of the more famous neighbouring appellations. If you're looking to discover a classic Bordeaux with real character and authenticity, Château La Rose Sarron is a fantastic choice.
