Cœur de Pinot – Sylvain Rozier

Grape Variety

  • 100% Pinot Noir

Description

Cœur de Pinot is a beautifully approachable Pinot Noir crafted by independent winemaker Sylvain Rozier. Produced from clay-limestone hillside vineyards, the wine is designed to showcase the purity, elegance and finesse of Pinot Noir in its most accessible form. Careful vineyard management and gentle vinification preserve the grape's delicate aromatics and silky texture, resulting in a wine that is fresh, fruit-driven and wonderfully easy to enjoy.

Tasting Notes

Appearance
Bright ruby red with brilliant clarity, typical of a youthful Pinot Noir.

Nose
Fresh and expressive, revealing aromas of wild raspberry, red cherry, redcurrant and subtle floral notes of violet and peony. Gentle hints of sweet spice add complexity.

Palate
Elegant, supple and beautifully balanced. Crunchy red berry fruits dominate the palate, supported by silky tannins and refreshing acidity. The focus is on purity, finesse and drinkability rather than power, making it an exceptionally versatile Pinot Noir.

Finish
Clean, refreshing and fruit-driven, with lingering notes of cherry, raspberry and delicate spice.

Olivier's Thoughts

This is exactly the kind of Pinot Noir I enjoy introducing to customers who are discovering the grape variety for the first time. It doesn't try to be overly complex or heavily oaked; instead, it focuses on what Pinot Noir does best: elegance, freshness and pure red fruit character.

What I particularly like about Cœur de Pinot is its versatility. Light enough to enjoy on its own, yet structured enough to accompany food, it bridges the gap between casual drinking and serious wine appreciation. If you enjoy lighter reds such as Fleurie or Bourgogne Rouge, this wine will feel instantly familiar. Slightly chilled during the summer months, it becomes incredibly moreish and is often the bottle that empties first around the table.
