Description
Produced by Celliers d'Orfée in the heart of the Corbières appellation, Croix du Sud is a beautifully expressive red wine that captures the warmth and character of the Languedoc. Sourced from clay-limestone vineyards around Lézignan, the wine combines the richness of Syrah and Grenache with the structure and Mediterranean character of Carignan. Traditional vinification and careful ageing create a wine that is generous, approachable and full of southern French charm.

Olivier's Thoughts
Croix du Sud is one of those wines that perfectly demonstrates why Corbières remains one of France's best-value appellations. It has everything I enjoy about the wines of the South of France: generous fruit, warming spice, smooth tannins and plenty of personality. There is a richness here that makes it incredibly satisfying, yet it never feels heavy or overpowering.
For customers who enjoy Rhône blends or fuller-bodied reds but are looking to discover something different, this is a fantastic choice. It works brilliantly with grilled meats, charcuterie and hearty dishes, but is equally enjoyable simply shared with friends around the table. A genuine taste of the Mediterranean in a glass and outstanding value for money.
