Olivier's Thoughts
This is exactly the sort of red wine I like to recommend when someone wants a smooth, easy-drinking bottle without sacrificing quality. Merlot is loved around the world for its soft tannins and generous fruit, and this Southern French version delivers exactly that. Expect plenty of plum and dark berry flavours, a velvety texture and a wine that is incredibly easy to enjoy.
What I particularly appreciate is its versatility. Whether you're opening a bottle for a midweek meal, sharing a charcuterie board with friends or simply enjoying a glass after work, Orfée Merlot consistently delivers. It is approachable, fruit-forward and excellent value for money—everything a good everyday French red should be.
