Château Maison Neuve Sauvignon 2024

Grape Variety

  • 100% Sauvignon Blanc

Description

Produced by Alexia Eymas at Château Maison Neuve in the Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, this Sauvignon Blanc is crafted from mature vines grown on clay-limestone soils overlooking the Gironde Estuary. The estate has been family-owned for four generations and is renowned for producing wines that combine freshness, purity and character. Vinified in stainless steel to preserve the vibrant aromatics of Sauvignon Blanc, this wine offers a refreshing alternative to Loire Sauvignon Blanc while retaining a distinctive Bordeaux identity.

Olivier's Thoughts

This wine has become one of our best-value Sauvignon Blancs and regularly surprises customers who expect Bordeaux to be all about red wine. It combines the freshness and aromatic profile people love in Sauvignon Blanc with a little more texture and generosity than many Loire examples. Crisp, refreshing and incredibly versatile, it's the sort of bottle I often recommend when someone wants a reliable white wine that works equally well as an aperitif or with food. For sunny afternoons, seafood dinners or simply a glass after work, it delivers far more than its price point would suggest.
