Cuvée Sextant Corbières
Grape Variety
- 40% Syrah
- 40% Grenache Noir
- 20% Carignan
A classic Mediterranean blend combining the richness of Grenache, the spice and structure of Syrah, and the depth and character of old-vine Carignan.
Description
Produced by Domaine Celliers d'Orfée in the heart of the Corbières appellation, Cuvée Sextant is a powerful yet refined expression of Southern France. Named after the navigational instrument once used by sailors to chart their course, this wine reflects the spirit of discovery and the rich winemaking heritage of the Languedoc.
The vineyards benefit from abundant Mediterranean sunshine, cooling winds and clay-limestone soils that help preserve freshness while allowing full ripening of the grapes. Careful vinification and maturation result in a wine that combines concentration, complexity and remarkable drinkability.

Olivier's Thoughts
Cuvée Sextant is one of those wines that consistently exceeds expectations. It has all the generosity and warmth you would hope for from a Corbières, but with an elegance and balance that make it incredibly easy to enjoy. The combination of ripe black fruit, spice and Mediterranean herbs creates a wine with real personality and a strong sense of place.
For me, this is the sort of bottle that captures the essence of Southern France. Whether enjoyed with a hearty meal, a barbecue or simply shared amongst friends, it offers outstanding value and delivers far more complexity than many wines at a similar price point. If you're looking to explore the richness of the Languedoc, Cuvée Sextant is a superb place to start.
